Surfside Beach police chased a blue Chevy Tahoe from Holmestown Road onto Highway 707 and into the Tern Hall subdivision off 707 about 12:45 p.m. Wednesday.

Officers tried to stop the SUV in connection with a stolen cell phone, when the driver led police on a chase down Holmestown Boulevard, Highway 707 and into the subdivision.

Once they turned into the subdivision, the officer said they ran out of the car.

Police never found the suspects.

The investigation into the chase and stolen cell phone continues.
