The City of Florence kept current mayor Democrat Stephen Wukela in office Tuesday night, defeating Republican Steve Powers.

We caught up with Wukela at his victory party. He told us, "This is the reaffirmation of what we've done downtown. The work we've done with public safety, infrastructure, improving coalitions, building. Most importantly, I think we demonstrated here that Republicans and Democrats can work together."

All results are unofficial.
