A Florence County deputy was in court Friday on charges of Misconduct in Office as well as Possession of a Controlled Substance and Theft of a Controlled Substance.

A judge set bond for Adam Moore at $10,000.

Sheriff Kenney Boone says Moore stole narcotics from the evidence room. The drugs were from cold cases and were scheduled to be destroyed.

The investigation started Tuesday when Moore wrecked his county car.

After the wreck, deputies say Moore had drugs on him. They also searched his house, but did not say if they found anything there.

Moore was fired yesterday and more charges are pending.
