UPDATE
Brad L. Hickman turned himself into police Friday after warrants were issued for his arrest involving the assault of a police officer during a traffic stop Thursday.
Hickman was wanted for Driving under Suspension, ABC violation, Speeding, and Assaulting a Police Officer.
The officer had stopped Hickman for speeding, when Hickman got out of the car, assaulted the officer, and then ran into a wooded area, according to Sgt. Kimberly Nelson, the department's public information officer.
The officer had to seek medical attention for minor injuries but is recovering.
