A Myrtle Beach woman has come forward to claim her $2 million Powerball® prize.
She bought the winning ticket for Saturday night's drawing at the Express Mart at 2620 S. Kings Highway in Myrtle Beach.
She spent $3 on a Powerball® quick pick with PowerPlay®, according to the South Carolina Education Lottery.
She spent the extra $1 for PowerPlay® increasing her would be $1 million prize to $2 million.
The winner overcame the 1 in 5 million plus odds to match the first five white ball numbers drawn on Saturday, which were
10, 37, 40, 46, and 52. The winning Powerball® number was 12.
Her husband said he woke her up with the news that they won.
The winner accepted her check on Tuesday.
The only people that know the winner's identity is her immediate family.
The couple plans to give anonymously to area churches and the local food pantry, and then pay off their home, according to the press release.
The Express Mart received a commission of $20,000 for selling the winning ticket.
