Members of the St. Andrew Catholic Church in Myrtle Beach gathered to pray for the cardinals in their selection of a new pope.

Parishioners came to the special mass to pray that the holy spirit would guide the cardinals in their decision.

"I think they understand that's a heavy duty job they have" said parishioner James O'Conner. "I know if I had to make that decision, I would want to have everybody praying for me" O'Conner added.

Tom and Cindy Eberhardt are snow birds from Ohio. They say they made St. Andrew their home church for the winter and say today's prayers are important and are excited for this new chapter in the Catholic church to begin.
