Georgetown police say a man was shot at his home about 10 p.m. Monday.
It happened at a home on Palm Street near Timrod Road.
Police say the 36-year-old victim from Georgetown was shot one time.
The man who was shot was taken to the hospital, and a medical helicopter was called to airlift him to MUSC in Charleston, according to Georgetown Police Captain Nelson Brown.
Georgetown police are still investigating.
No arrests have been made at this point.
