Police are looking for a suspect who led the South Carolina Highway Patrol on a high speed chase through two counties, according to Sgt. Jeff Benton with the Horry County Sheriff's Office.

A man driving a 2011 Chevy two-door car with South Carolina plates led police on a high speed chase through Marion County.

The driver then crashed the car near the intersection of Daisy Road and Billy Mc Road in Green Sea, said Benton.

The driver then fled on foot, said Benton.

The Horry County Sheriff's Office investigate wrecks that result from Highway Patrol chases.

If you have any information, please call the Horry County Sheriff's Office at (843) 915-5450.
