Police seized 22 illegal video gaming machines from business

State police raided two Dillon County businesses Wednesday in search of illegal gaming machines.

Agents confiscated 18 machines from Save Mart on Highway 9 West, according to Thom Berry with the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division.

Thursday, we reported that Berry said $19,951 in cash was seized from the business. Berry corrected that information Friday, saying $2,951 was seized.

Agents also raided Bailey's Grocery on Highway 302 South. They confiscated four video gaming machines, according to Berry.

The raids are a part of SLED's ongoing efforts to rid the state of what the SC Attorney General has deemed illegal.
