Kim Snyder of Dillon County has a gift for beading.

She turned that talent into a way to show her appreciation for wounded soldiers and the families of those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

"This project I feel like is my way of giving back to them, as little as it might be. It's something I can do for people," said Synder.

She started making patriotic bracelets five years ago.

The red, white and blue bracelets have been sent all around the country, and now Synder is starting to get requests from military bases.

She's even sent them to Miss America, Miss Universe, Miss Teen South Carolina, country music singer Lee Greenwood and the Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders.

They've all written her thank you letters for her love of this nation.

Snyder got the inspiration for the patriotic bracelets from her father who served several years in the United States Marine Corps.

"He gave his all and really nobody rewarded him when he came home."

She's made nearly 7,000 bracelets and doesn't see herself quitting anytime soon.

Snyder says she loves what she does, and she hopes it will uplift the soldiers and their families.
