FLORENCE -- A Florence School District One special needs bus collided with a car on West Palmetto Street around 12:45 p.m. Monday.

All seven people on the bus, two wheelchair-bound students, the bus driver, a teacher, and three special needs assistants, were taken to the hospital.

We're waiting to find out with which school they were associated.

We don't know the severity of their injuries.

Police cited the bus driver with driving too fast for conditions.

Florence police are investigating.
