The Horry County Circuit Court ruled Helicopter Adventures may continue to operate from its headquarters on 21st Avenue North.

Judge Larry Hyman ruled January 16.

Helicopter Adventures was zoned to be in an Amusement Commercial District.

But neighbors complained the helicopter sightseeing business created two much noise and eventually, an appeals board said the business was zoned incorrectly.

The judge's ruling says a helicopter sight-seeing tour facility is a permitted use within the Amusement Commercial District. And, businesses in that district are allowed to create some noise.

That means the business can continue to operate.
