The South Carolina Forestry Commission is conducting a prescribed burn near Highway 90 outside of Conway on Thursday.
Crews will be working behind the Solid Waste Authority facility in Horry County, according to SCFC spokesman Scott Hawkins.
The burn is to reduce fuel load to decrease the severity of future wildfires in the area.
