Myrtle Beach police officers are looking for the person who attacked a man with a machete Tuesday night.

The victim cut his left hand trying to block his head, and punched the man in the face before running toward a friend's car.

He was wearing a gray hooded sweat shirt and blue jeans, with a scruffy beard.

The victim said the man spoke with a "country accent" but used street slang.
