A jury found Troy Hunter guilty of Armed Robbery and Assault and Battery, Wednesday afternoon.

They deliberated for about four hours before reaching a verdict, according to Twelfth Circuit Solicitor Ed Clements.

In November of 2011, Hunter approached a man at a home on Dixie Street in Florence and pistol whipped him.

He then robbed the man and tried to shoot him twice, but missed.

Judge Craig Brown sentenced Hunter.

He must serve 85% of his sentence before he's eligible for parole.
