A nightclub at Broadway at the Beach in Myrtle Beach has banned smoking, according to part owner Craig Smith.

Crocodile Rocks says it established a smoke-free environment for its patrons last week.

"We can't please everyone. It's a new year, and we want to help contribute to a new, healthy lifestyle," said Smith.

Smith added they are in the process of working with Broadway at the Beach to possibly building an outside area for smokers. They hope to hear something in the next 30 days about the project.

Crocodile Rocks has been there since 1995 and Smith says he has thought about implementing this policy for years, and finally he just made the decision.
