A car crash on the Waccamaw Bridge Sunday morning involved a Georgetown County Sheriff Deputy's car.

A deputy was involved in a call on the Waccamaw Bridge in the southbound lane around 10 a.m., according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.

A car was traveling too fast and crashed into the back of the deputy's car. The deputy was not in the car during the crash.

No one was seriously injured but two people were taken to the hospital for precautionary measures.

The crash is under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
