Charges are in the process of being dropped for 14 people arrested in August 2010 in connection with the murder of Sylvester Smart, according to Assistant Solicitor Brad Richardson.
Smart, 28, was found shot at a home in the Strand Mobile Home park on August 21, 2010.
That day, police arrested Alex Lorenzo Robinson for murder.
Police later arrested 13 others for various charges relating to the case.
Richardson says right now there isn't sufficient evidence to take the case to trial. If new evidence surfaces in the future, they could reinstate charges.
