PAWLEYS ISLAND, S.C. (WPDE) - Georgetown County and a developer are close to an agreement for plans Pawleys Island Plaza.
Sunbelt Ventures has revised plans to bring a 119,000 square foot building.
The new plans call for three separate buildings with each not going past the maximum square footage allowed.
Residents feared the developer would put a big box store in the building, hurting local business.
Georgetown County Council will have a second reading of the revised ordinance next Tuesday.
It takes three readings for it to be final.
