A woman was taken to the hospital for what firefighters say were minor burns to her face after a fire at her home Monday morning.

Firefighters were called to the fire in the 900 block of Rose Street about 11:30 a.m.

Firefighters found fire coming from the back of the building and into the attic.

They say the fire started near a wall outlet. It appears to be accidental.

Several rooms were damaged by the fire and most of the home sustained smoke damage.
