Garden City fire crews responded to a late night house fire on Christmas.

Flames were seen coming from the house just after 10:30 p.m. at 1178 South Waccamaw Drive.

Garden City fire officials said everyone got out safely and no one was hurt.

They said a resident was cooking when the fire started.
