EFFINGHAM, S.C. (WPDE) - Saturday, Florence County Sheriff's Office deputies arrested Rufus Lee Collins, III, 25. They charged him with First Degree Assault and Battery.
Capt. Michael Nunn said according to investigators, Collins was involved in a verbal altercation which turned physical and "escalated to point where the victim being stabbed."
The incident happened on Poor Farm Road in Effingham.
The victim was taken to an area hospital for treatment of a stab wound, according to Nunn. There's no word on their condition at this time.
Collins is being held on $15,000 bond.
