LORIS -- A Loris man was arrested in his home Friday morning after a warrant was served for nine counts of sexual exploitation of a minor.
The Horry County Sheriff's Office arrested Freddie Grainger, 37, at 7:30 a.m. at his home in Loris, said Sgt. Jeff Benton with the Horry County Sheriff's Office.
This was a joint effort with the Berkley County Sheriff's Office and the Attorney Generals Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
The warrant stemmed from information gathered from the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, said Benton.
An undercover investigation initiated by the Berkeley County Sheriff's Office, officers found multiple child pornography videos via a file sharing service from an IP address in Horry County.
The Horry County Sheriffs Office seized multiple computers, cell phones, and electronic equipment from Grainger's home, according to a press release.
Grainger admitted he had many child pornography videos, according to a press release.
This investigation is in its early stages, so they cannot release any of the details related to the crime, said Benton.
If found guilty, this crime can carry up to ten years of prison for each county.
