Bucksport parade

For three and a half decades, the Bucksport community of Horry County has started Thanksgiving with a parade.
It's truly a community parade with groups like students from Whittemore Park Middle School and the Boy Scouts.
Some kids got an early treat as people on floats threw out candy.
Lee Sherman started the parade when his wife and sister came up wit the idea 35 years ago and he still runs it.
"We see how it brings people from all over this state and county together, North Carolina, everybody from here participating," Sherman said.
He'd like to see a steel drum band join the parade in the future.
The parade ended, of course, with Santa in his sleigh.
