The eastbound lane of Interstate 20 has re-opened, but westbound lane near mile marker 135 in Darlington County is still shut down.  State police bomb squad agents try to determine if devices found in a car are explosive, according to Captain Andy Locklair with the Darlington County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies stopped a man for a traffic violation and arrested him after finding drugs in the car, Captain Locklair said.

Locklair said they learned the man was wanted for Desertion out of Fort Eustis.

After a search, deputies found what could be explosive devices inside the vehicle, according to Locklair.

The interstate was shut down in both directions, according to Highway Patrol Lance Corporal Sonny Collins. The eastbound lane has since re-opened.

Traffic traveling west is being detoured onto exit 137, then left onto SC 340, right onto SC 403, right onto US 401, and that leads back to I-20 at milemarker 131.
