Alex Heaton joined WPDE in June of 2012 as the Good Morning Carolinas producer. She is a recent graduate of the University of South Carolina.
Myrtle Beach Police are on the scene of an accident involving a pedestrian on 17 Bypass and Highway 501 near Pine Island Road.
According to their website, the accident happened around 1:30 Monday morning.
Traffic is currently being rerouted from 17 Bypass to Seaboard Street.
