DILLON COUNTY -- The Dillon County Election Commission finally certified its election results after more than five hours in a hearing Friday.

Officials say a candidate has raised some concerns about votes from straight party tickets, and if some of those votes should have been counted for petition candidates.

The Dillon County Voter Registration Director says she did an audit of the voting machines to try to straighten out the matter and has sent the information to the SC Election Commission.

Officials say state election officials found no discrepancies and gave the Dillon County Election Commission the green light to certify the election.

There were some minor changes, but it didn't affect the outcomes from Tuesday's results.
