Polls are now open across South Carolina and North Carolina.
Voters began casting their vote in Horry County and the Pee Dee at 7:00 Tuesday morning.
NewsChannel 15's Amanda Kinseth saw about 100 people in line by 6:45 a.m. at Carolina Forest Elementary School. That is expected to be one of the busier precincts, with about 2,000 voters expected to go through that location on Election Day.
Many voters that Amanda talked to were trying to get their vote in before they headed to work.
Others told her they make it a tradition to get up early for every election and avoid the long lines.
At Waccamaw High School in Pawley's there were also about 100 voters in line.
Some issues are being reported for some voters showing up at wrong precincts where there has been redistricting.
Horry County has around 600 voting machines and 850 volunteers.
