Horry County Fire Rescue was called to a home on Sherry Drive, off Old Reaves Ferry Road outside of Conway, about 12:32 p.m. Thursday for a report that a man burned down a home and had a gun.

When they got there, they didn't find a gunman and the homeowner told them the home was being demolished, according to Assistant Chief Scott Thompson.

Firefighters put out the flames.

No one was in the home and no one was hurt, Chief Thompson said.

There were three dogs behind the home. All of them are fine.
