A South Carolina Air National Guard F-16 made an emergency landing at Florence Regional Airport Wednesday morning.

Airport Director Eddie Gunn says he isn't sure if the plane was a part of air defense exercises the Guard is conducting in Florence.

The F-16 started having engine trouble, Gunn said.

Airport security has the plane in a safe location until military personnel come to check it out, according to Gunn.
