One dead after crash on Kings Highway in Myrtle Beach

One person died in a crash on Kings Highway near 48th Avenue North according to Captain David Knipes with the Myrtle Beach Police Department.

Around 5:30 Monday afternoon, two vehicles were traveling at high rates of speed headed south on Kings Highway. According to Knipes, one of the vehicles lost control and crashed, killing the person in the vehicle.

The crash is still under investigation and anyone who witnessed it is asked to call Myrtle Beach Police at (843) 918-1382.

The name of the victim has not been released.
