An 18-year-old student was cited for having knives on Myrtle Beach High School property.
Around 11:50 a.m. Monday, school administrators searched Shon Cooper's car.
They found two box cutters and a steak knife in plain view in the driver's side door.
The knives were returned to Cooper's father.
Cooper was charged with Possession of Illegal Weapon on School Property.
