A Surfside Beach man was arrested on Sunday after he led police on a foot chase according to a police report.
Horry County police were called to Deerfield Plantation where homeowners said they had chased a burglar who had broken into one of their homes.
Horry County asked Surfside Beach police to help with the call.
When Surfside Beach police officers arrived, they say they saw Jeremy Crawford, 24, walking south on Crooked Pine Lane.
Crawford began to run away and police chased him. They eventually caught him and arrested him.
Police say they found several items that the victim had reported missing in Crawford's pockets and car.
They say they also found marijuana and a pistol on Crawford.
The pistol was listed as stolen out of Surfside Beach.
Crawford is charged with Burglary, Resisting Arrest, Unlawful Carrying of a Pistol, Larceny, Receiving Stolen Goods, and Possession of Marijuana.
