Florence County deputies charged Lorenzo Leeverne Sumter, 27, of Effingham, with Grand Larceny.

They say he stole golf cart parts valued at more than $10,000 from a business on West Palmetto Street on August 12.

Deputies arrested Sumter Tuesday and put him in the Florence County Detention Center on a $20,000 surety bond.

Under South Carolina law, Grand Larceny is a felony punishable by up to ten years in prison.
