Chesterfield County Republican Richard Yow will appear on the November ballot for House District 53 after a Conway judge dismissed a lawsuit that sought to remove him.

Circuit Judge Edward Cottingham dismissed the lawsuit filed by Albert Crowley, who accused Yow of not failing the proper election documents.

Early this year, nearly 250 candidates were taken off the November ballot for not filing the proper paperwork.

Yow will face Democratic Rep. Ted Vick and petition candidate Phil Powell next month.
