Emergency crews at scene of shooting Monday night/Tonya Brown
Florence County Sheriff's deputies are investigating an apparent homicide that happened at a home on Sharon Drive just before 9 p.m. Monday.
Steven Bruce Springs was pronounced dead scene, according to Florence County Coroner Bubba Matthews. Springs' body is undergoing an autopsy to confirm cause of death.
Captain Michael Nunn says they have a person in custody who investigators are questioning.
Neighbors say they heard a gunshot and sirens shortly after. They say there was some type of altercation before the shooting.
