Myrtle Beach hotels that want put temporary enclosures around their swimming pools this coming winter can now do so, but they'll need a permit from the city.

City officials say now that Congress has changed the law to allow temporary pool enclosures in a flood zone, the City of Myrtle Beach has amended its regulations, too.

Properties in a flood zone that want to enclose their pools from December through May will need to apply for a free permit.

Application forms are available here.
