Rhodes sworn in as Horry County Police Chief

Taylor came to WPDE in 2011 from Greensboro, N.C., after working at WFMY News 2 and reporting for the Elon Sports Network.

Saundra Rhodes was officially sworn in as the Horry County Police Chief Friday.

Rhodes has been serving as the interim chief since February.

The Conway native is the first woman to run the Horry County Police department.

Rhodes started working for the department in 1993 as a detective and has worked her way up.

She replaces former chief Johnny Morgan who retired this year.
