Horry County Deputy Coroner Darris Fowler says the preliminary autopsy of a Lester Causey Jr., 44, shows he drowned.
A witness found Causey's body floating in a family pond on Oak Log Lake Rd. off Highway 905 about 1 p.m. Thursday.
The autopsy showed no signs of trauma, said Fowler.
Horry County police ruled Causey's death as suspicious. The case is still under investigation.
Witnesses last saw Causey Wednesday afternoon. His body was in the water for several hours, said Fowler.
Witnesses said Causey lived nearby and would fish in the pond regularly, said Fowler.
