MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (AP) - Two businessmen are suing a nephew of evangelist Billy Graham, contending they were misled in their efforts to buy a South Carolina golf course.
Mel Graham of Charlotte serves on the boards of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association and Samaritan's Purse, an international relief agency.
Graham also owns the International World Tour Golf Links in Myrtle Beach, S.C. The golf course features 27 holes modeled after famous holes around the world.
Jeffrey Gohn and Rolf Hendricksen allege they lost $500,000 because Mel Graham breached a contract, acted in bad faith and committed fraud after they tried to buy the golf course.
Mel Graham denied the allegations and said the lawsuit filed in Horry County, S.C., represents sour grapes from buyers who could not finance their purchase commitment.
