CLEMSON, S.C. (AP) - South Carolina investigators are charging a former Clemson University staffer who worked with campus fraternities and sororities of misusing student organization funds.
Eli Ker of Easley could not be reached Saturday because he does not have a listed telephone number. It wasn't known if he had an attorney.
The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division charged the 30-year-old with breach of trust with fraudulent intent. Ker was arrested Friday.
Clemson officials said the money belonged to a student organization and did not come from taxpayers. The SLED arrest warrant says nearly $34,000 was converted to personal use over the past year.
Ker was associate director for fraternity and sorority life at Clemson for six years ending Monday.
