Belonda Renee Davis, 29, of Loris was arrested and charged Wednesday after police said she allowed her kids to be around illegal drugs and a dead man.
Horry County police responded to a call of an unresponsive 21-year-old man at the Carolina Inn hotel off of Highway 701, according to the police report.
Once police arrived, EMS ruled the man dead and found Davis and her two children in the hotel room as well.
Officers found marijuana, a crack pipe, what appeared to be Sudafed, and various prescription drugs.
The Department of Social Services was called to take the children into protective custody and Davis was arrested.
Davis was sent to J. Reuben Long Detention center where she was charged with two counts of Unlawful Neglect of a Child.
