A Myrtle Beach Police cadet was injured in accident Wednesday morning, according to SC Highway Patrol.

The cadet was t-boned by another vehicle at about 7:34 a.m. between 32nd and 33rd Ave. North at Oak Street.

Myrtle Beach Police Sgt. Joey Crosby said the young man was taken to Grand Strand Regional Medical Center. His injuries are unknown at this time. 

A portion of the road was blocked off but has now been reopened.
