Kevin Mayberry, 43, of Myrtle Beach, pled guilty on August 28 in federal court in Florence to Conspiracy to Make False Statements.

Mayberry and others conspired to commit fraud by omitting required information from the HUD1 form. A payment of about $100,000 to Mayberry was not listed on the closing documents. This payment came from the proceeds of a loan and would have been required to be included on the HUD1 form. By it being omitted, it was concealed from the lending institution.

The maximum penalty Skinner can receive is a fine of $250,000 and/or imprisonment for three years, plus a special assessment of $100.

United States District Court Judge Robert Bryan Harwell accepted the plea and will impose sentence after he has reviewed the pre-sentence report which will be prepared by the U.S. Probation Office.
