Horry County police charged Joshua Cody Wilson, 25, of Murrells Inlet and Dustin Autry, 24, of Garden City, with Murder for the death of Chris Nance, 44.

Nance is the uncle of Wilson, and Autry is Wilson's roommate.

Police say both Wilson and Autry were involved with Tuesday's stabbing at Nance's home on Van Buren Road in Murrells Inlet and both disposed of the weapon in the ocean.

Paula Nance, Chris's sister and Wilson's mother, called EMS about 11:30 a.m. Tuesday to report Chris's death. EMS called police when they got there.

Horry County Deputy Coroner Tamara Willard says Nance was stabbed several times.

The stabbing happened during a fight among the men, according to Horry County police Sergeant Robert Kegler.

The family has a previous history of domestic violence.

In June, Nance was found guilty of two counts of Assault and Battery third degree and credited with time served.

According to a police report, Nance assaulted one of his other nephews who is Wilson's younger brother.
