Horry County Council members are holding their scheduled council meeting tonight at 6 p.m. They will be having a first reading on the use of laser pointer devices in the unincorporated areas of Horry County.

Currently, Myrtle Beach and North Myrtle Beach both have ordinances restricting the sale of laser pointers to individuals under the age of 18.

In those cities you can also be fined for using a laser improperly by shining them in aircrafts, hotel rooms, or directly at people.

We'll let you know what happens with this first vote.
