Georgetown Police are investigating a homicide that occurred early Thursday morning.
The body of Alfonso Terrell Thomas, 25, of Georgetown was found in the footpath in between Church Street and Legion Street, according to Captain Nelson Brown with Georgetown Police.
The body has been taken to the Georgetown Memorial Hospital and an autopsy will be performed Friday at the Medical University of South Carolina.
