North Myrtle Beach Public Safety officials are looking for a man they say held up a Scotchman convenience store on Highway 17 South.

Around 11:55 p.m. on Saturday, August 11, the suspect walked into the convenience store, presented a small black hand gun tucked under his shirt and demanded money, according to police.

The suspect then told the cashier to get into the bathroom until other customers arrived, according to the police report.

The report says the suspect stole about $160.

Police described the suspect as a man in his mid-twenties with very short brown hair and about 5' 9'' tall.

If you have any information on the suspect, contact Detective Abercrombie at (843) 280-5641.
