Double homicide in Loris overnight shooting

Horry County Coroner Robert Edge says Amos Hatfield, 66, and his son Thomas Howard Hatfield, 40, were shot and killed early Sunday morning.

Horry County police are investigating the incident as a double homicide that occurred around 4:30 a.m. in the 1100 block of Red Bluff Rd. near Loris.

Sgt. Robert Kegler says no arrests have been made at this time.

The case is under investigation by Violent Crimes Detectives.
