About 15 people gathered Monday to hear from the Horry County Zoning Board of Appeals about the helicopter company on 21st Avenue North, but not much action was taken.

The board asked for public comment on the appeal of the zoning law surrounding the business, but no one gave any, and they deferred any decision.

Many residents have said they don't want the helicopter rides by their homes because of the constant noise.

Plaintiff Richard Hinde says he's not discouraged by the board putting off the decision because they have more support everyday.

"We have over 300 signatures in a petition and over 194 residents so far, and it's gaining ground everyday that people are upset," Hinde told us at the meeting.

The board voted to meet and discuss this in a meeting next month.
